Dr Michael Goldblatt
BMBS, FANZCA, Dip Clin Hypnosis, ASH,ASPM
I obtained my medical degree from the Flinders University of South Australia in 1988 and completed my specialist anaesthetic training in 1999. Throughout this time I gained a large amount of medical and valuable life experience working in Australia and overseas including time in rural Australia.
As a specialist anaesthetist I was introduced to hypnosis after a family member was successfully treated for severe anxiety. Curious and wanting to learn more about how hypnosis could help people attain their full potential, I obtained a Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis and trained with leading hypnotherapists in Australia and overseas.
I lecture in hypnotherapy and have taught hypnosis in Australia and internationally. In addition to my medical affiliations I am a Board Member of the South Australian Society of Hypnosis and examine candidates for the Australian Society of Hypnosis Diploma qualification which is a highly regarded qualification in Hypnosis for practitioners registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). As well as having AHPRA registration as a specialist anaesthetist, I am a member of the Australian Society of Psychological Medicine.
In founding Glo Clinical Hypnosis (alongside Dr. Aparna Lockie) I am excited by the opportunity to work with you in a highly professional and ethical practice to help you create the life you choose.

After graduating in 1998 with a Doctor of Medicine in the USA, I have built over twenty years’ clinical experience in general medicine, practising internationally in USA, UK, Canada and Australia. My post-graduate qualifications include: US Board Certification in Internal Medicine at University of Illinois, Chicago, Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP). I also have accredited training in Clinical Hypnosis through the South Australian Society of Hypnosis and continue to be a member of the Australian Society of Psychological Medicine.
In addition to my role with Glo Clinical Hypnosis (Co-Medical Director and Clinical Hypnotist), I work as a general practitioner in Adelaide, South Australia and have additional training in women’s health, emergency medicine, palliative care and mental health.
Fuelled by my diverse medical knowledge, experience, and by my dedication to holistic healing, I use hypnosis in conjunction with focussed psychological strategies (such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and EMDR) as a means of helping people achieve rapid, positive and enduring change.
It is incredibly gratifying when I am able to guide my patients towards improving mental, physical and existential health. I look forward to the potential of working with you to create new possibilities.
BN (Hons), MACN, Dip Clin Hypnosis, ASH
I graduated from Flinders University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2011, achieving First Class Honours. During my career as a Registered Nurse, I have enjoyed the privilege of caring for adults and children when they are at their most vulnerable, including birthing mothers and people at the end of their life. I am passionate about caring for the whole person – body, mind and spirit, helping them to feel safe and have a voice in their care.
It was this desire to provide person-centred care, to facilitate each person’s journey to physical and mental health and wellbeing that inspired me to broaden my skillset and explore non-pharmacological ways of helping patients feel safe, calm and comfortable during their time in my care, and hypnosis fit that brief beautifully. I completed the accredited Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis course and have trained both in Australia and overseas with several highly respected master hypnosis practitioners. I hold a current AHPRA Registered Nursing registration and am a current board member of the South Australian Society of Hypnosis.
It is my heartfelt desire to help each person understand the power they have within to create the life that they want for themselves. It would be my privilege to help you to take control, make whatever changes you desire and achieve a heightened and ever improving sense of wellbeing in your life.
Masters in Counselling, BA, Advanced Training in Clinical Hypnosis, ACA, SASH
Working in South America and in rural Australia has allowed me to understand how cultural, emotional, and psychological elements influence our physical well-being. I work with both individuals and couples (Relationship Counselling), focusing on using their abilities to reach their potential. This person-centred approach allows me to incorporate a range of methodologies according to people’s needs and strengths. I use Hypnosis in addition to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Logotherapy (a psychotherapeutic tool) to achieve realistic, achievable, and long-lasting life goals. I have a Master’s Degree in Counselling Practice and I have also completed Advanced Training in Clinical Hypnosis through the South Australian Society of Hypnotherapy. I am registered with the Australian Counselling Association, and I am member of the South Australian Society of Hypnosis (SASH).
The most gratifying part of my practice to see each person grow into their desired version of themselves. The possibilities are infinite.
I run sessions in Spanish as well.

BMBS FRACP Medical Oncology
Certified Life, Executive and Organisational Coach,Postgraduate Medical Hypnotherapy SASH, GAICD
I graduated from Medicine in 1993 with the Staff Prize in Clinical Medicine and the Australian Medical Association Medal. I trained as a Medical Oncologist and over 15 years established a large private practice at Calvary North Adelaide, where I specialised in the treatment of breast and gynaecological malignancies. My interest in wholistic care and wellbeing led to the establishment of complementary care and rehabilitation programs for cancer survivors.
In 2018 I switched lanes and spent 3 years working with the terminally ill in Mary Potter Hospice focussing on making each day count. During this time, I became a qualified life, executive and organisational coach assisting busy professionals to recognise and achieve what matters most.
I have had a strong fascination and belief in Medical Hypnotherapy for over 20 years, culminating in completing postgraduate qualifications in 2021. My interest arose from a personal experience of having an intractable medical condition that was unresponsive to traditional medical treatment and resolved with hypnotherapy. In hospice and in my coaching practice I have witnessed the success of hypnotherapy in managing pain, anxiety and emotional distress.
I am a strong and compassionate communicator and look forward to working with you to shift whatever challenges may be holding you back.
Health Psychologist, B. Psych (Hons), M. Psych (Health), MAPS
Finding a therapist is no easy task. You probably found me on Google…but that’s okay…because we often exhaust ourselves searching for the perfect solution. And in this case, the right therapist, someone who will get us.
I wasn’t always a psychologist. Once upon a time, I also sought for solutions to my own mental health challenges. 8 years of training, 4 years of rural work and 2 research papers later…I discovered that life does indeed give us lemons…and lemonade doesn’t come without the right processes.
The search for such processes introduced me to various therapies. The structures and strategies were helpful…but they didn’t come easily and effortlessly. My quest to find the catalysing ingredient brought me to clinical hypnosis. The results were mind-blowing.
Nowadays, my clients and I work smarter not harder. Clients drive appointments as the expert on their experiences. I navigate the journey with directions from evidence-based therapies. Hypnosis increases efficiency with purposeful focus and rapid behavioural change.
If you find yourself lost in life’s obstacles, and you are ready to find your way out, I look forward to being your support, your therapist and your navigator.
